Get Into Villanova
Founded in 1842, Villanova University, one of only two Augustinian Catholic colleges in the nation, currently ranks #58 (tied with the University of California Merced) on the most recent U.S. News & World Report’s list of National Universities, and at #22 on its list of Nursing Universities. Villanova currently enrolls around 7,000 undergraduate students, most of whom study on its main campus 12 miles from Philadelphia. The school motto is “Become What You Are Not Yet.”
Students can pursue more than 60 undergraduate majors and 40 graduate degree programs across Villanova University’s six different schools, including:

Villanova has a strong focus on sustainability with diverse recycling programs, Fair Trade Campus rating, a bike rental program and campus rain gardens. They also offer more than 300 extracurricular groups for students to join, with focuses ranging from student government to performance arts to community service and advocacy and they boast the largest student-run Special Olympics in the world. Villanova competes in NCAA Division I sports and is a member of the Big East conference. There are also 31 club and intramural sports teams.

Applying to Villanova
The university offers four application options: Early Decision I and II, Early Action and Regular Decision. Early Decision applications, generally due November 1st for ED1 and January 15th for EDII, are binding, meaning that any accepted student must attend Villanova. Early Decision I and II applicants are allowed to apply Early Action (November 1st) and Regular Decision (January 15th) to other schools, but they must withdraw these applications if they are accepted by Villanova. The acceptance rate for ED hovers around 56%.
Students apply using the Common Application and standardized test scores are optional.
