Law School Admissions Support

Law school admissions, guided from strategy to submit.

Top programs weigh far more than your LSAT and GPA. We help you build the strategy, the addenda, and the personal statement that make the strongest case for your candidacy.

One-on-one with a Private Counselor

LSAT to personal statement one coordinated plan

20+ years of admissions expertise

Two numbers start the conversation. The rest of the application finishes it.

Law school decisions start with the LSAT and GPA, and the strongest applicants shape everything around them: a sharp personal statement, well-judged optional and “why us” essays, addenda that address any soft spots directly, and a school list calibrated to where they are genuinely competitive.

What makes law admissions unusual is how much it rides on judgment. Which optional essays to write and which to leave. Whether a weak semester needs an addendum or is better left unmentioned. Where your numbers make you a realistic candidate and where they make you a hopeful one. Those are difficult calls to make about yourself, and they are the ones we make with you.

An Honest Read on Your Numbers

We will tell you where your LSAT and GPA make you genuinely competitive, and build the list from there rather than around it.

Addenda That Help

Knowing when to explain a soft spot and when to let it pass is a judgment call. We have made it many times.

One Argument, Not Five Documents

Personal statement, optional essays, “why us” essays, and school list, built to say the same thing.

Where Law Applications Are Won

Three decisions that shape a law application.

Where to Apply

The school list

Law admissions is more numbers-driven than any other field we work in, which makes the school list a strategic document rather than a wish list. We help you build one calibrated to where you are genuinely competitive, with the reaches chosen on purpose rather than out of hope.

What to Explain

The addenda

A dip in a transcript. A low first LSAT. A gap in your record. Each of these can be explained, and each can also be better left alone. We help you decide which is which, and then write the ones worth writing.

How You Think

The personal statement

Law schools are not asking for a story about wanting to be a lawyer. They are asking, in effect, for evidence of how you think. The strongest statements demonstrate judgment rather than describing it, and that is a harder thing to write than it sounds.

Common Questions

The answers, honestly.

Don’t see your question? One conversation is usually the fastest way to a clear answer.

What kinds of essays do you help with?

We help with personal statements, school-specific supplemental essays, resumes, and appropriate addenda. We tailor our guidance to the prompts and instructions of the law schools you are applying to.

How is this different from a writing tutor or editor?

We work at the level of ideas, helping you clarify what you are actually trying to say before we refine how you say it. That is what turns a competent essay into a memorable one.

I am applying to very different kinds of programs. Can you help with all of them?

If you primarily need help with your personal statement, supplemental essays, resume, or addenda, Graduate Essay Guidance offers focused writing support. If you also need help with school selection and application strategy, Graduate Analysis & Guidance includes a personalized strategy report and 10 or 15 hours of consulting.

For full-service support, Private Counseling for College Success offers 1-, 2-, 3-, and 4-year counseling options for students pursuing law school. One-on-one LSAT tutoring is available separately.

Contact our team to discuss your goals and timeline—we’ll help you choose the right fit.

Do you write or rewrite my essays?

We coach, question, and edit, but the writing and the voice remain entirely your own. That authenticity is exactly what admissions committees are looking for.

How does it work, and when should I start?

All work is done over Zoom, with applicants around the world, on a schedule that fits your commitments. Starting well ahead of your deadlines gives us the most room to do meaningful work, though we also help applicants who come to us close to the wire.
