Choosing your next step involves more than knowing how to apply or where to look. It starts with understanding which academic and career directions are worth exploring—and why they may fit you.
You’ll work directly with a TTA counselor to explore your experiences, interests, and the questions behind your next decision. Together, you’ll connect those insights with your assessment results to identify promising paths and practical ways to explore them.

Top Tier Compass replaces Career Planning & Academic Advising, bringing our personalized guidance into a more structured experience. You’ll receive an intake conversation, career assessments, a personalized written roadmap, and a follow-up meeting with a TTA counselor. Together, these help you explore promising academic and career paths and identify practical next steps.
Is Top Tier Compass included in Private Counseling?
No. Top Tier Compass is a separate program and is not included in any of our Private Counseling programs.
What if the answer is that I do want to apply to graduate school?
Your counselor will help you consider whether graduate school supports your goals and what you may need to explore before applying. If application support is the right next step, we can help you connect with the appropriate TTA service.
Who will I work with?
You’ll work with a senior TTA counselor participating in Top Tier Compass, matched to your goals, background, and availability.
How long does it take, and how much of my time will it need?
The engagement has four parts: the intake conversation, the assessment, your written plan, and the follow-up session. You and your counselor will coordinate a schedule within the program’s 60-day completion window. You’ll participate in an intake meeting and a follow-up meeting, with assessments completed independently between them. Your counselor uses the intake and assessment results to prepare your personalized roadmap.
What if I start with Top Tier Compass and later enroll in Private Counseling for College Success?
If you begin with Top Tier Compass and later enroll in Private Counseling for College Success, the full cost of your Compass program will be applied toward your Private Counseling for College Success tuition.
