After completing a dual degree in English and History at the University of Edinburgh, she earned an MSt in literature from the University of Oxford and a PhD in English from the University of Virginia. Throughout her career in higher education, Emelye has taught a range of writing and literature courses at the college level, from freshman composition to advanced seminars. She has also tutored extensively in writing centers and served as a consultant in pedagogy. At Top Tier Admissions, Emelye specializes in guiding students through the essay writing process, helping them craft compelling personal statements and supplemental essays for college applications.
