Top Tier’s Seniors Defy the Odds

Top Tier’s Class of 2022 seniors blew the doors off yet another unprecedented record-breaking application cycle! It was a bit of a double-whammy for students as this admissions cycle saw historically low acceptance rates across the board at top schools and incredibly high, slightly mind-blowing application numbers.

Among seniors enrolled in our private counseling program this year:

• 80% who applied to Columbia were admitted vs 3.7% overall
• 75% who applied to Cornell (6.9% overall) and Dartmouth (6.2% overall) were admitted
• 67% who applied to Yale were admitted vs 4.5% overall

Our students not only conquered college admissions but more importantly we’re confident that our TTA Class of 2022 is also ready to conquer their college journeys with grace, and a life-long love of learning that will carry them through their college years and beyond.

Percentage of students in TTA’s graduating seniors admitted to US News and World Report’s list of top 25 national universities. The number listed with each college or university indicates their current US News and World Report ranking.

The following schools have not yet released overall admit data for the Class of 2026, so we used Class of 2025 in its place: Princeton, Stanford, University of Chicago, CalTech, University of Pennsylvania, Vanderbilt, Cornell, UCLA, UC Berkeley, University of Michigan, and Carnegie Mellon. As soon as final admit data for Class of 2026 is shared, we will update our results.

Historically, 95% of our students get into one or both of their two top-choice schools. Top Tier’s Class of 2022 did just that and then some. With information still rolling in daily, we wanted to share our gratitude and pride and boast just a bit about our amazing senior class!

• TTA’s seniors earned 100+ acceptances to Forbes’ top-25 colleges in the world.

• TTA’s seniors gained admission to 20 of U.S. News & World Report’s top-25 liberal arts colleges and 24 of the 25 top national universities.

• Our seniors received over 300+ acceptances from 150 different colleges, including acceptances to all eight Ivy Leagues and Stanford University, with a few double-digit acceptances as well!

While this is a time to celebrate our seniors, it also serves as a reminder for our younger readers that there is no time like the present to begin focusing on your college admissions journey. We’re here to help!
