Brown University
Brown received 5,406 Early Decision applications for the Class of 2030 and accepted 890 students. By comparison, for the Class of 2029, the university received 5,048 Early Decision applications and admitted 906 applicants. In prior years, Brown reported 6,251 Early Decision applications for the Class of 2028, resulting in 898 acceptances, and 6,770 applications for the Class of 2027, with 879 students admitted.
Columbia University
Columbia reported 5,497 early applications for the Class of 2030, down from 5,872 for the Class of 2029 and 6,007 for the Class of 2028. The university has not yet released official admissions figures for the Class of 2029. According to its Common Data Set, Columbia admitted 795 students from 6,007 early applicants in the Class of 2028, and 840 students from 5,733 applicants in the Class of 2027.
Cornell University
Cornell has chosen not to disclose its admissions numbers until the end of the admissions cycle. Last year, estimates suggested approximately 1,874 offers of admission from 8,380 early applications for the Class of 2029. In prior years, Cornell received 9,973 Early Decision applications for the Class of 2028 and admitted 1,161 students, and 9,515 Early Decision applications for the Class of 2027, admitting 1,670 students.
Dartmouth College
Dartmouth has also chosen not to disclose its admissions numbers until the end of the admissions cycle. Last year, the college reported 3,550 Early Decision applications for the Class of 2029, with 606 students admitted—an early admission rate of 17.07%. In the previous year, Dartmouth received 3,551 Early Decision applications for the Class of 2028 and admitted 681 students, for an admission rate of 19.18%.
Massachusetts Institute of Technology
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) received 11,883 Early Action applications for the Class of 2030 and admitted 655 students, for an acceptance rate of 5.51%. In the previous cycle, MIT received 12,052 Early Action applications for the Class of 2029 and admitted 721 students (5.98%). This followed 12,563 Early Action applications in 2024, when the institute admitted 661 students to the Class of 2028, resulting in a 5.26% acceptance rate.
University of Pennsylvania
Penn reported approximately 7,800 Early Decision applications for the Class of 2030, down from 9,500 for the Class of 2029. The estimated Early Decision admission rate for the Class of 2029 was 13%, with 1,235 students admitted. In prior years, Penn received 8,683 Early Decision applications for the Class of 2028 and admitted 1,235 students, and 8,109 Early Decision applications for the Class of 2027, admitting 1,204 students.
Yale University
Yale offered admission to 779 Early Action applicants for the Class of 2030, up from 728 for the Class of 2029 and 709 for the Class of 2028. The university also reported an increase in Early Action applications to 7,140, compared with 6,729 in the prior two admissions cycles, while maintaining a stable admission rate of 11%.

Duke reported that 6,159 students applied through its Early Decision program and that 847 were admitted to the Class of 2030, for an admission rate of 13.75%. Last year, Duke received 6,627 Early Decision applications and admitted 849 students to the Class of 2029. According to its Common Data Set, Duke received 6,013 Early Decision applications for the Class of 2028 and admitted 1,042 students.
Johns Hopkins reported that 553 applicants were admitted in the first round of Early Decision to the Class of 2030. In the previous cycle, the university admitted 551 students through Early Decision I and 793 students across both Early Decision programs to the Class of 2029. One year earlier, Johns Hopkins admitted 550 students through Early Decision I and 825 students across both Early Decision programs.
Notre Dame admitted 1,617 Early Action applicants to the Class of 2030 from a pool of 13,711 students, resulting in an acceptance rate of 11.8%. Last year, the university admitted 1,669 Early Action applicants to the Class of 2029 from 12,917 applicants, for an acceptance rate of 13%. In the prior cycle, Notre Dame admitted 1,724 Early Action applicants to the Class of 2028 from 11,498 applicants, reflecting an acceptance rate of 14.99%.
