Brown University
Brown received 6,770 applications for early decision for the Class of 2027 and accepted 879 applicants. Applications through the program increased by 10.15 percent compared to the Class of 2026. Last year, Brown accepted 896 students out of 6,146 early applications received for the Class of 2026. In the past six years, Brown has accepted 12.98 percent to the Class of 2027, 14.6 percent to the Class of 2026, 15.95 percent to the Class of 2025, 18 percent to the Class of 2024, and also 18 percent of early applicants to the Class of 2023.

Columbia University
Columbia* received 5,738 early applications for the Class of 2027 compared to 6,305 last year. Based on an estimated admission of 650 students, the rate of admission should be in the 11 percent range. For the Class of 2025, Columbia admitted 768 students out of 6,435 applicants.

Cornell University
Cornell has again decided to not disclose its admissions’ numbers until the end of the yearly cycle. The university, however, announced that applications for its early round of the Class of 2026 numbered 9,555 and that 1,831 students were accepted.

Dartmouth College
Dartmouth received 3,009 Early Decision applications for the Class of 2027 and accepted 578 students for an admission rate of 19.21 percent. This year’s percent acceptance rate is a decrease from last year’s 20.13 percent when Dartmouth accepted 530 ED students out of 2,633 Early Decision applications for the Class of 2026. The 578 students will compose approximately 50 percent of the Class of 2027 estimated at 1,150 students.

Harvard University
Harvard accepted 722 or 7.56 percent of the 9,553 early applicants to the Class of 2027. The size of the early action pool increased slightly and the acceptance rate decreased from 7.87 percent. Last year, Harvard’s Early Action program admitted 740 or 7.87 percent of the 9,406 early applicants to the Class of 2026.

Massachusetts Institute of Technology
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology received 11,924 early action applications, which is a decrease from the 14,781 received last year, and accepted 685 students for an acceptance rate of 5.74 percent. Last year, MIT accepted 697 students to the Class of 2026 for an acceptance rate of 4.72 percent.

University of Pennsylvania
Penn received about 8,000 early decision applications for the Class of 2027, but did not report its admission rate. Last year, Penn received 7,795 early decision applications for the Class of 2026 and admitted 1,218 students under the Early Decision program for a 15.6 percent admit rate.

Princeton University
Princeton did not disclose its admissions’ numbers until the end of the yearly cycle.

Yale University
Yale offered admission to 776 Early Action applicants for the Class of 2027, down from 800 applicants for its Class of 2026. Yale reported an increase of 6 percent in applications from 7,288 to 7,744 for the last two cycles of admissions.
